The future of Aviapolis is now open on the internet

A visualisation of the Aviapolis area is complete; unique in its breadth and 3D method of implementation.

The future of Vantaa´s Aviapolis area is now on show on the internet. With the help of 3D visualisation, viewers can see how the area will develop over the next few years or even up to 20 years down the line. Aviapolis has been visualized with 3D technology that allows the viewer to move around the area by using their own internet browser.

The Aviapolis development team sees the area as becoming the international trade centre of Finland. The Aviapolis development team gave the go ahead for the visualisation to Kärkijoukkue Ltd and WSOYPro.

Movement through the visualisation is made easier thanks to the broad perspective over the entire area. The user can roll down the runway, look for their own house in Kartanonkoski, find a place for their office or get acquainted with forthcoming construction projects. The virtual world can also help officials and companies foresee possible problems with the area.

The 3D modelling was done by using DeepSurf technology provided by Kärkijoukkue Ltd. The visualisation was constructed on the basis of maps, aerial photographs, construction plans, area planning and photography.
