Preliminary agreement on construction of a Finnish-Chinese Co-operation Center.
Vantaa City Council, which recently visited China, has drawn up a preliminary agreement with the Nanyan County Xinfuhai Group regarding construction of a Finnish-Chinese Co-operation Center in the Aviapolis area, which is near to the Helsinki-Vantaa international airport. The funding for this Center will come mainly from China. The Co-operation Center will provide business premises and services, such as advisory services for Chinese high-tech companies on operating on the European markets. Vantaa City Council met representatives from technology centres, business parks, universities, chambers of commerce and regional authorities during the visit to China.
A small Chinatown will be built around the Co-operation Center, with restaurants, shops, offices, a hotel, Chinese medical services, a Chinese garden and a temple. Housing for Co-operation Centre employees can be built near the Aviapolis area.
